WeBelize’s programs are based in San Ignacio and the surrounding communities.  San Ignacio locally referred to as Cayo, is located two hours from Belize City along the Western Highway and is a tourist center.  The town and the surrounding communities contain a diverse population of Creole, Maya, and Mestizo.  San Ignacio is also an attractive market own set among pleasant tropical hills.  The friendly people of San Ignacio enable rich cultural exchanges and productive development projects.

 Orange Walk is located about an hour and a half from Belize city along the Northern Highway.  Orange Walk is a district with a rich agricultural background.  It is locally known as Sugar City for its ties to the Sugar Industry in Belize.
